Pablo Santibáñez Servat

Pablo Servat is a Latin American figurative painter whose work blends classical technique with symbolic surrealism. Born in Chile, he graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile in 1996 before continuing his training in Madrid with Guillermo Muñoz Vera at the Arauco Academy, and later with Antonio López through a scholarship at the Complutense University of Madrid.

His paintings carry the discipline of traditional realism while opening into dreamlike, psychologically charged worlds. Animals, figures, and unexpected objects appear not as decoration, but as emotional messengers, each holding a fragment of memory, humor, tenderness, or existential wonder.

Servat has exhibited internationally, including solo exhibitions at Museo Treccani in Milan, Plus One Gallery in London, Casa Museo Diego Rivera in Guanajuato, Benjamin Eck Gallery in Munich, and Conde Contemporary in the United States. His work has also appeared in Latin American art auctions at Christie’s and Sotheby’s, and he has been recognized by institutions including the MEAM in Barcelona and the Government of Chile’s Fondart Prize.

At the heart of Servat’s practice is a lifelong devotion to painting as both craft and revelation. His canvases suggest that imagination is not an escape from reality, but one of its most intimate languages.
