Shipping & Delivery
Do you ship internationally?
Yes, we ship worldwide. International shipments require additional documentation for customs clearance and may be subject to duties, taxes, and import fees for which the buyer is responsible.
For high-value or fragile works, we may require specialized shipping, custom crating, and insurance.
How much does shipping cost?
Shipping costs depend on:
- The artwork's size, weight, fragility, and value
- Destination
- Shipping speed
- Crating and packing requirements
- Insurance
We'll provide a detailed shipping quote before you confirm your purchase. For many smaller editions and prints, we offer flat-rate or free domestic shipping.
How long will delivery take?
- Domestic (U.S.): Typically 5-10 business days for standard shipping; expedited options available
- International: Typically 2-4 weeks, depending on destination and customs processing
For works requiring custom framing, fabrication, or specialized crating, we'll provide an estimated timeline.
How will my artwork be packed?
We use professional art-handling standards:
- Acid-free glassine and archival materials for works on paper
- Corner protectors, bubble wrap, and rigid supports
- Double-walled boxes or custom crates for fragile or high-value works
- Climate-controlled shipping where appropriate
- Full insurance coverage
What if my artwork arrives damaged?
While rare, damage can occur in transit. If your shipment arrives damaged:
- Photograph the packaging before opening, if possible
- Carefully document any visible damage
- Retain all packing materials
- Note the damage with the carrier
- Contact us immediately at
kate@kbfineart.com
All shipments are fully insured, and we'll work with you to arrange repair, replacement, or refund.
Returns & Exchanges
Can I return an artwork?
Unless identified as Final Sale, most artworks may be returned within 14 days of delivery if:
- The work is in the same condition as delivered
- It has not been altered, installed, framed, or damaged
- All documentation and original packaging are included
- You contact us before returning
Non-returnable items include commissioned works, custom-framed pieces, and items marked Final Sale.
Please see our full Return Policy in our Terms of Service for details.
Who pays for return shipping?
Unless the work was damaged in transit, incorrectly shipped, or materially different from its description, the buyer is responsible for return shipping, packing, and insurance costs.
We recommend using a professional art shipper and insuring the full value of the work.
How long does a refund take?
Approved refunds are typically processed within 10 business days after we receive and inspect the returned artwork. Your bank or payment provider may require additional processing time.
