About the work
In Ouroboros, the ancient serpent eating its tail is reborn as a chicken and egg. The egg is supposed to symbolize birth, continuation, and possibility, but here it becomes a meal. What is life is consumed to sustain life.
The painting turns breakfast into a philosophical wound: life cannot separate itself from the cycle that made it. In this domestic Ouroboros, beginning and ending meet on the same plate. The chicken and egg become one closed circle, in which life returns to its own source to continue.
