Fed by Sacrifice

A sword stands rooted in a vessel of skulls, entwined with a flowering vine that blooms with megaphones. This is an executioner's sword, flat at the tip, forged not for battle but for ritualized death. Designed for public beheadings, it carries the cold weight of state-sanctioned violence.

From the silence of the dead rises a structure of life and voice. Nature is twisted into a tool of broadcast. Death becomes fertilizer for power, and beauty grows out of violence disguised.

In the world today, we live on foundational sacrifice: Indigenous lives, enslaved labor, and marginalized communities. Systems of justice still carry the imprint of selective punishment. The loudest voices are often the most privileged. Even nature itself is being shaped to serve power.

We see progress celebrated, but rarely pause to ask who paid for it. We see freedom claimed, but often at the expense of those denied it.

Fed by Sacrifice asks us to reflect on what we inherit, what we glorify, and who remains buried beneath the stories we choose to tell.
