About the work
Framed by an audacious combination of an iris and a combination lock, Password distills a singular idea: each of us carries a unique code to our own happiness. The petals unfurl like a life's arc, their pale pink folds deliberately individual, reminding us that no two journeys are ever the same and that fulfilment doesn't conform to any formula.
At the center, the numerical keypad becomes the painting’s fulcrum. Its cool, utilitarian geometry plays off against the flower’s softness, underscoring that joy isn’t something casually bestowed; it must be unlocked with one's own sequence, whether that sequence is a long-held passion, a brave choice or a private, formative experience.
The distant figure on the shore drives the point home: this search is ultimately solitary. The key to growth and happiness lies in your own hands, and only by opening your own door can the iris of your life fully bloom.
