Gizmo

Gizmo (2024) is a unique oil painting on canvas by Ian Bertolucci, measuring 80 × 80 cm (31.5 × 31.5 in). It is hand-signed by the artist, signed and titled on the reverse, and accompanied by a gallery-issued certificate of authenticity. An outer frame is not included.

Gizmo is a memory you can touch—a tender reminder of something fragile and enduring. This time, his creation is a test of humanity, Gizmo’s story asks: Can we care for what is pure and good without failing it?

In this work, Gizmo stands as a symbol of Hope and Trust. Despite enduring mistreatment and hardship, his persistent belief in humanity remains—a demonstration to resilience in the face of disappointment.

This painting will be on a wall holding something deeper. It’s a reflection of Gizmo’s wisdom and purpose, carrying the weight of his story. Like a guardian, he watches over us, his innocent face concealing ancient knowledge. When we meet his eyes, we see the question he asks us all: Can we be better? Can we protect what truly matters?

Here, Ian has painted a mirror. A mirror that projects our choices, our compassion, and the fragile hope that defines us.
